ACE East Zone detects IT induced embezzlement of amount in BBSYD

Karachi (HRNW)- ACE East Zone detects IT induced embezzlement of amount otherwise meant for trainees and trainers of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Program ( BBSYD ), busts gang operative in 17 districts, registered FIR, and arrests two officers from Head office in Karachi.

A racket of swindlers involved in siphoning off of stipend amount, otherwise meant to be transferred through software and pin mailer to trainees enrolled at various youth development centres across the province has been busted after detecting hi tech fraud. Instead of disbursing amount to destined recipients, it was pocketed by District officers of BBSYD in connivance with private operators of ghost skill centres. By arranging CNICs of various individuals, they featured them as enrolled person eligible to receive stipend. However, identity stolen individual would be ghost, mainly. Similarly, youth development centres would be on papers only, but not in existence in real sense.
As a result, millions of rupees have been embezzled in an organised manner.
Consequently, FIR has been registered and two officers namely Faisal Ansari, District manager Karachi East ( having Addl charge of District West ) and Arsalan, Manager IT Branch BBSYD have been arrested. Further actions against all accused in every affected district of Sindh shall be taken through special teams. Both shall be produced for seeking remand from court.
