Phillipines jolted by 6.8-Earthquake, many injured

Manila, Philippines: (HRNW):  southern Philippine island of Mindanao jolted by strong earthquake which hit on Sunday, US geologists said, quake causing damage and injuries of many people. After quake police started rescue operation in effected areas. Quake damaged market buildings and streets. epicentre of 6.8 magnitude earth quake was 90 Km from the major city of Davao. short after quake Patients were evacuated from hospitals.  People were advised not to stay in homes and  nervous crowds massed outside shopping malls after the powerful jolt and a series of smaller, but strong aftershocks.
