“Deewana Bakar E Khaish Hoshiyar” Musical Comedy Play at Alhamra Hall

Lahore (HRNW)- Alhamra Arts Council in collaboration with Azad Theater presented a three-day-long Musical Comedy Play titled “Deewana Bakar E Khaish Hoshiyar” here on Monday at Alhamra Hall 2. The drama was attended by a huge number of audience at Alhamra Art Centre the Mall.

The drama is a musical comedy and all about the duel faces of individuals in our society. Through the perfectly coordinated act, Azad theatre tried to encourage and educate the public about the need for social reforms.

Deewana Bakar E Khaish Hoshiyar” was written for radio by renowned playwright Rafi Peer in the early 60s, and later Punjabi translation was by completed by Imran Peerzada. The play was directed and choreographed by Nadeem Abbas, and designed by Malik Aslam, music by Raja Akheem and the lead singer was Sarfaraz Ansari. The cast included Bilal Ahmed, Jahanzeb Mustafa, Rahib Sewag, Muhammad Asim, Abdul Hannan, Amir Shahzad, Moiz Shahbaz, Faisal Mushtaq, Bilal Rai, and Danish Chaudhary.

Azad Theater Group, through this play, inspired the people, especially to our younger generation and provided them with a platform to exhibit their theatrical skills in front of the public. The presentation of Azad Theater and Lahore Arts Council got a lot of public appreciation.

The play will continue till 8th January 2020.
