Dr. Steven Discusses Multidisciplinary Research Approaches at UO

Okara (HRNW)- Dr. Steven Granich from Lock Haven University, America discussed multidisciplinary research approaches in the inaugural session of the lecture series here at University of Okara. The session was attended by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zakria Zakar, Director Institute of Social & Cultural Studies, University of the Punjab Prof. Dr. Rubeena Zakar and heads of various academic and administrative departments along with MPhil and PhD students of Faculty of Education, Department of Botany and Department of Zoology.
The event was organized by the UO’s Directorate of External Linkages (DEL). The Director, Dr. Syed Abdul Waheed welcomed the guest and explained the objectives of Dr. Steven’s 4-day visit to the University.
Dr. Steven delivered an extensive lecture on various techniques and methodologies of research, being practiced worldwide. He also interacted with the students and the faculty.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Zakar thanked the foreign academician and told that all knowledge emanate from just one objective and that is to explore the universe. He also urged the students and the teachers to learn from the global academic and research values through these interactions.
Dr. Zakar said, “it is not a question of developed vs developing nations but it is a question of understanding and learning from each other and forming a globalized and closely integrate society in a real sense.”
