PCG Seizes Irani diesel, betel nuts and contraband items

Karachi (HRNW)- Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) seized Irani Diesel, Betel Nuts and contraband items at Naka Khari Check Post on RCD Highway near Windar (Balochistan).
On credible information from intelligence resources about the smuggling of Irani Diesel, Betel Nuts and contraband items in general area Windar on RCD Highway, following seizures were carried out by PCG Special checking during the preceding week:-
1. At Naka Khari Check Post (Windar), PCG officials recovered 45,740 liters of Irani diesel from different trucks. The said trucks were coming from Balochistan to Karachi. 02 smuggler along with Irani Diesel and trucks were taken under custody.
2. During routine checking at Naka Khari check post 18,270 kg Betel Nuts have been recovered from different vehicles.
3. At Naka Khari during checking, PCG official recovered 16 Nos Mazada Tyres, 300kg Mix Cloth, 14 Bags Citric Acid, 09 Nos AC, 05 Drums Menthol, 120 Dzn Fair & Lovely Cream (Indian), 22 Bags China Salt, 120 dzn Soap Dove, 164 Dzn Padlock, 20,000 Kg Garlic and 285 Pkts Tara Naswar in different vehicles.

Approx value of Irani Diesel, trucks, Betel Nuts and contraband items in the market is Rs.82.64/- Millions. Further investigation and legal process is under way.
