Karachi (HRNW)- Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce & Cooperative Department and Anti-Corruption Jam Ikramullah Dharejo has said Sindh government is serious about solving the problems of Sindh industrialists. The encroachments set up in the industrial zones will be removed on priority basis and strict operations will be taken against the Encroachment Mafia. He said this while talking to a delegation of Site Super Highway Association of Industries Karachi in his office today. Shaheen Ilyas Sarwan, President of Site Super Highway Association of Industries Karachi, Aamir Hassan Lari, Vice President, MD Khurshid Alam, In-charge of the site, Secretary Fazal Shar and other related officers were present on the occasion. The meeting considered many important issues, including setting up a Combined Effluent Treatment Plant. Provincial Minister Jam Ikramullah Dharejo added, ‘ The treatment plant has been pending for a long time. It should be completed as soon as possible and encroachments in Site Super Highway will be removed’ .
He said that legal action should be taken against the encroachers and no one would be allowed to occupy land illegally in industrial zones. Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce & Cooperative Department and Anti-Corruption Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said that the Sindh government would play a vital role in establishing the University of Fourth Generation Technology Karachi adding that the Sindh government stood side by side with the industrialists. Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said, ‘ It is sad that the federal government has fully closed its eyes from the problems of the industrialists. The federal government should take appropriate steps because the industrialist segment is the backbone of the domestic economy. The destruction of industries will mean misery of the country.
He said that the industrialists have been burdened with heavy taxes and loadshedding of electricity, gas which has caused a big problem to them and created a storm of unemployment. He said that in the 18 months of the present government, the industrialists, including the people, also faced severe difficulties. ‘ ‘The decline in national economy is on the rise and nothing good is expected from Federal Government’. he concluded.
