Title winning striker Grafite returns to Wolfsburg as ambassador

Wolfsburg have hired their title-winning Brazilian striker Grafite as their first international club ambassador, the Bundesliga side said Sunday.

The 40-year-old played a key role in Wolfsburg’s 2009 championship win as he claimed the prize for Bundesliga top scorer that season.

Grafite is “a recognized face of the biggest success in our club’s history,” Wolfsburg chief executive Michael Meeske said in a statement.

Along with promoting the club in his native Brazil, he will represent Wolfsburg in China and the United States.
