PIA finalizes flight schedule for repatriation of stranded Umrah pilgrims

ISLAMABAD (HRNW) – Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has finalized flight schedule to bring back stranded Umrah pilgrims.

According to details, PIA will operate 22 special flights to bring back Umrah pilgrims from Jeddah and Medina. Three flights will land in Karachi, five in Islamabad and 13 in Lahore.

PIA can accommodate 7900 passengers. 65 flights – 29 from Pakistan and 36 from Saudi Arabia – were operated in 72 hours deadline by Saudi government.

According to spokesperson of PIA, national airline uplifted 17000 passengers in 11 special and 54 scheduled flights during deadline of KSA.
