Four men arrested for allegedly raping, blackmailing student in Sargodha

Sargodha (HRNW) Four men, including a police officer, were arrested for allegedly raping and blackmailing a student in Sargodha, the police said.

The complainant, a fourth year student of LLB, filed the complaint four years after the crime was committed. According to the police, she told them that the men had raped her and filmed it.

“They then blackmailed her with it for huge sums of money,” Sargodha DPO Gulzar Ahmed said.

Two of the men have been granted interim bail.

“We are investigating the case on the basis of merit and have registered an FIR,” Ahmed said, adding that all those who have broken the law will be punished severely.
