18-year-old killed by kite string in Lahore’s Islampura

Lahore (HRNW)  An 18-year-old was killed after a kite string slit his throat in Lahore’s Islampura Sunday morning.

The victim has been identified as Usman. He was on a motorcycle with his brother when the incident occurred.

It happened after sehri. Usman was from Narowal and worked at a factory in Lahore.

Flying kites is banned in Punjab because of the number of related deaths.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzfar has taken notice of the incident. The SHO of the local police station has also been suspended.
