Sindh to pass Matric, Inter students without exams

Karachi (HRNW)  Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani announced  that the students of Matriculation and Intermediate would be promoted to the next class without appearing for examinations.

Ghani said the government will have to make a “one-time amendment” in the law governing board exams or propose a bill because the existing law prevents students from going to next class without appearing for board exams.

The decision was reached in a steering committee meeting. In its last meeting on Tuesday, the committee instructed schools to promote its class one till eight students without conducting exams as well.

Ghani had asked schools to pass their students on the basis of their academic performance throughout the year.
