Shehbaz asks people, institutions to work together to fix economy

Lahore (HRNW) PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has urged people and national institutions to work together to save the country from an economic crisis.

“We need to offer special prayers and ask Allah to give us courage,” Shehbaz said while addressing a Youm-e-Takbeer event via video link in Lahore. “Together we will strengthen Pakistan’s economy.”

Pakistan celebrates Youm-e-Takbeer on May 28 every year. The country became an atomic power under PML-N government on this day.

The PML-N president claimed that his brother had declined offers from friends and foes in 1998 and made Pakistan a nuclear power.

“We should say special prayers for his health,” Shehbaz said, referring to his brother who is getting medical treatment in London.

He blamed the PTI government for the economic crisis in the country and said thousands of people have lost their jobs because of the government’s economic policies.

“We should not do politics in such a difficult time but the nation needs to be told the truth,” he added.
