Sindh govt hints at suspending public transport over SOPs violation

KARACHI (HRNW) – The government of Sindh on Tuesday has hinted at banning public transport over violation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) amid ongoing coronvirus outbreak.

Sindh Transport and Mass Transit Minister Awais Qadir Shah said that the decision will be taken if the violation of SOPs continues in the province.

The traffic police officers are also not cooperating in current situation, he said.

On the other hand, Pakistan has reported record 105 deaths by novel coronavirus in one day and the number of positive cases has surged to 108,317. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 2,172.
