Britain will provide all possible assistance to Pakistan in this difficult time: BHC

ISLAMABAD (HRNW) – British High Commissioner Christian Turner has said that the British government will provide all possible assistance to Pakistan during this difficult time.

According to details, British High Commissioner Christian Turner met with Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal on Wednesday. Both discussed the situation in Pakistan with regard to coronavirus and Locusts problem.

The Chairman NDMA apprised the High Commissioner of the steps taken against locusts and coronavirus and said that the demand for isolation beds and ventilators has increased in view of rising cases of the virus.

Lt. Gen. Mohammad Afzal said the UK could provide corona patients with beds and BIPAP ventilators, as well as early delivery of micron sprayers to take care of the locust problem as soon as possible.

During the meeting, Christian Turner praised the role of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic.

The British High Commissioner said that the British government would provide all possible assistance to Pakistan in this difficult time. He said that the delivery of Micron Sprayers to Pakistan for locusts would be expedited and technical assistance, exchange of information between the two countries would be promoted.
