Opposition protests during Budget 2020-21 speech, slogans raised

ISLAMABAD (HRNW) – The members of opposition protested during Hammad Azhar’s budget speech in the National Assembly and chanted slogans throughout the duration of his speech.

According to details, the opposition created a ruckus during the federal budget session in the National Assembly. Members continued to make noise during Hammad Azhar’s speech, chanting slogans and beating desks to register their protest.

Opposition members waved placards in the House, on which various slogans were written down, including some satirical ones. The speaker of the house repeatedly urged members to remain silent and refrain from waving banners, but members of the opposition ignored his instructions.

Opposition members also walked out of the house. Shehbaz Sharif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Ahsan Iqbal did not attend the session due to them testing positive for coronavirus while Chairman Bilawal Bhutto did not attend the meeting as well.
