Sindh Excise Department collects Rs 430 million in 16 working days

Karachi (HRNW)- Sindh Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Control Department Department on May 16 introduced an online queue management system to facilitate taxpayers in view of the Coronavirus situation. The system has been well received by tax payers. It should be noted that the online queue management system was introduced on May 16 and so far, the tax payers have shown their full confidence in the system and have deposited a total of Rs 430 million in 16 working days. In introducing this system, the Health Advisory of the Government of Sindh is being strictly followed and all precautionary measures are being taken to prevent corona virus. It is to mention here that all tax recovery was made in term of motor vehicle tax.

Meanwhile Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Director General, Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Control Department Sindh have expressed his gratitude to the taxpayers for their confidence in the online queue management system. He said that all the offices of Sindh Excise Department were open for tax collection under SOPs and the Sindh government had also given 25% tax exemption to tax payers due to lockdown .The tax payers should take advantage of the relief and deposit their taxes immediately.
