UO’s Syndicate approves promotion policy and budget

Okara (HRNW)- The University of Okara’s Syndicate, in its 13th meeting, unanimously approved the time scale promotion policy of the university’s employees as per the rules of the Government of Punjab. The UO’s budget for the fiscal year 2020-2021 was also approved on the recommendations of the Finance and Planning Committee.
The meeting was chaired by the UO Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zakria Zakar on behalf of the Minister Higher Education Department Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfraz. The Additional Registrar General Jamil Asim presented the agenda as Secretary of the meeting.
The Syndicate also approved the policy for granting benefits to the families of the deceased in-service employees of the UO.
The UO also presented an agenda for the approval of the affiliation policy for government and private colleges. The Syndicate discussed the agenda and referred it to the HEd for further deliberations.
Concluding the meeting, Dr. Zakar told that the UO had been successfully running the online classes since the COVID-19 outbreak and its resultant lockdown. He urged the Syndicate members to support the university in achieving its cherished goals for the provision of quality education to all sections of the society.
