New York (HRNW) – The number of coronavirus infection cases across the world has risen to nearly 9.5 million and the pandemic has so far claimed over 485,000 lives.
At least 9,326,400 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in 196 countries and territories. Of these, at least 4,574,300 are considered recovered.
The tallies from national authorities and information from the World Health Organization (WHO), probably reflect only a fraction of the actual number of infections.
Many countries are testing only symptomatic or the most serious cases.
The United States tops with over 2.4 million cases and more than 124,000 deaths followed by Brazil with over 1.1 million cases and more than 53,000 deaths.
