Mandi Bahauddin vegetable sellers use park as storage facility

Lahore (HRNW) The Mian Waheeduddin Park in Mandi Bahauddin, that was shut down for public three months back, has been turned into a vegetable market by the vendors.

Vegetable vendors are using the park’s rooms and canteen to store vegetables since its closure in March. Skins of garlic, onion capsicum and bitter gourd can be seen spread across the park.

On June 5, the Punjab government opened all public parks, but the Mandi Bahauddin residents could not avail the opportunity because of different encroachments.

The deputy commissioner has ordered the municipal committee and assistant commissioner to remove all encroachments around public parks.
