Mayor Sukkur Barrister Arsalan Islam Shaikh visits the different areas of city on Eid-ul-Adha days

Sukker (HRNW)- Mayor Sukkur Barrister Arsalan Islam Shaikh visits the different areas of city on Eid-ul-Adha days for review the implementation of contingency plan issued specially for Eid, he also examined the Sanitation arrangements. During visit of City Mayor Sukkur picked up the remains of sacrificial animals under his supervision.

According to details, a contingency plan was issued by the Sukkur Municipal Corporation to improve sanitation arrangements on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. To review the implementation, Mayor Sukkur Barrister Arsalan Islam Sheikh alongwith Officers of SMC, Pir Ata-ur-Rehman Khan, Asif Ali Khan, Vehicles In-charge Shehzor Khoso and other staff visited different areas of the city during Eid days, in addition to cleaning the city under his supervision, he also washed and disinfected the roads with the help of modern machinery so that the stench would not spread and the citizens would be protected from epidemics.

On this occasion, he directed the staff to implement the contingency plan, remains of sacrificial animals should be safely removed from every streets and corners of the city and disposed-of at dumping site, garbage should also be disposed of immediately.

Speaking to media persons, Mayor Sukkur Barrister Arsalan Islam Sheikh said that the days of Eid-ul-Adha are the most difficult in terms of cleanliness but we finalized all the arrangements before Eid and temporarily hired the Manpower for facing the situation & provide the best facilities to those who perform Sunnah of Ibrahim (A.S).

He also said that, I am personally supervising all the work, wherever there is negligenc, the problem is being resolved by taking immediate action. Implementing the contingency plan, bags has also been distributed among the citizens for relief. I urge the citizens that remains of Sacrificial Animals put in the bags and set a side instead of throwing them on the road.

Mayor Sukkur Arsalan Islam Shaikh also said that SOPs issued to prevent COVID-19 should also be followed. Cases of corona virus have definitely decreased but not completely eradicated, Caution is very important as there are still fears that the disease could re-emerge if precautions are not taken.
