Two officers of DMC South suspended after viral video of hurling bill board

Karachi (HRNW)- Despite of strict order to removal of bill boards and hoarding on the roads of Karachi, the Advertisement Department of KMC and DMCs have been given the permission to the advertisers due to hefty gratification. In the wake of recent spell of moon soon, where a video of hurling bill board got viral, resultantly two bike riders were severely injured by hitting hoarding near Hotel Metro-pole.

The secretary Local Govt took stern action against the incident and suspended two alleged corrupt officers Wazir Ali Behlum, Director Advertisement (BPS-18)  and Mohammad Siddique Swati, Assistant Director Advertisement (BPS-16), both are posted at Local Taxes, DMC (South) Karachi.

In the suspension order the Secretary Local Govt also directed to lodge an FIR against both officers due to given permission of erecting bill board despite of ban by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

HRNW has learnt now the Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed took Suo Moto Notice upon the bill board hurling incident, which caused two motorcycle riders were injured. The SC fixed the hearing of this case on Monday, sources said.
