Bakhtawar Cadet College for Girls Nawabshah celebrates Independence Day

Nawabshah (HRNW)- Bakhtawar Cadet College for Girls Nawabshah celebrated 74th Independence Day of Pakistan with great zeal and fervour even if the students of the college were at their homes because of the Covid-19 situation. The occasion was marked by different wonderfully organized events including Azadi March, in which all the staff members participated carrying Pakistan flag and chanting slogans of long live Pakistan, followed by hoisting of national flag, cake cutting ceremony, Azadi Tree Plantation to make Pakistan green, online Quiz and Speech competition among the students of the college and Barra Khana for the entire staff of the college.
The celebration started with Azadi March at 07:30 am wherein all the staff members, including the entire faculty living on the campus, headed by the Principal moved out of the campus going along some distance of airport road Nawabshah. The national flag was hoisted at 8:00 am synchronizing with flag hoisting ceremony held at Islamabad. Then the Principal cut the birthday cake of Pakistan followed by giving away prizes to winners of photography competition and Azadi Walk.
On this occasion the Principal said that the Bakhtawarians were committed to the welfare and wellbeing of Pakistan by distinguishing themselves in education and, after entering the practical life, in various walks of life as the leaders of tomorrow. He said that Bakhtawarians would shed even the last drop of their blood as and when required for the safety and solidarity of their beloved motherland Pakistan.
A unique event of the celebrations was the online quiz and speech competition, in which the cadets, being at home, took active part delivering their speeches online in on-line presence of their teachers and students. The event was highly appreciated by the parents of the cadets as being a novel idea to celebrates Independence Day of Pakistan.

To make the occasion memorable, monsoon tree plantation was also launched by the Principal who planted a sapling of Gulmohar at the mini lake of the college. All other staff members and faculty also participated in planting the saplings.
Keeping up the tradition of well organized institutions, Barra Khana was also arranged for all the staff members of Bakhtawar Cadet College for Girls immediately after the Juma Prayers.
