Sindh E & T Deptt collected a total of over Rs 11,821 million in taxes during July and August: Mukesh Kumar Chawla

Karachi (HRNW)- Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control & Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla has said in a statement that the Sindh Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has collected a total of Rs 11,821.926 million in taxes during July and August of the current financial year 2020-21. He further said that Rs.9342.721 million was collected under infrastructure cess and Rs.1390 ​​million under motor vehicle tax while Rs.96.947 million was collected under professional tax and Rs.314.010 million under property tax. According to provincial minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Rs 4.933 million was collected in the form of cotton fee and Rs 0.717 million in the form of entertainment duty. He termed the overall situation of collection of taxes as better and directed the officers to work hard and perform their duties honestly to further improve the situation of collection of taxes.
