Federal Minister for Defense Production meets with Deputy Speaker National Assembly

Islamabad (HRNW)- Federal Minister for Defense Production Ms. Zubaida Jalal called on Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri at Parliament House on Monday. The matters pertaining to ongoing development projects in Balochistan, problems being faced by the people of the province and the overall political and economic situation of the country were discussed during the meeting.

Talking on the occasion, the Deputy Speaker said that Balochistan has immense potential however it has been neglected in the past and no attention was paid to the problems of the people of the province which created sense of deprivation among the people. while appreciating the steps taken by the present Government for the development of Balochistan he said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is paying special attention in the development of Balochistan and on his direction several mega development projects are underway in the province. He expressed his confidence that a new era of development and prosperity in the province would usher after the completion of these projects. He also appreciated the role minister of defense production had played for the development of Balochistan.

Federal Minister for Defense Production Ms. Zubaida Jalal appreciated the Deputy Speaker’s keen interest in the development of Balochistan and apprised him of the details of the ongoing development projects in the province. She said that substantial funds have been allocated for the development of Balochistan in the current fiscal budget and the Federal Government in collaboration with the Provincial Government is working for the provision of basic amenities at their door step to the people of Balochistan. She said that Under the China Pakistan economic corridor, a number of developmental projects were initiated in Balochistan, the completion of which will generate employment opportunities in the province and will uplift the living standards of the people. He assured the Deputy Speaker that no effort would be spared to ensure the rights of the people and the development of the province.

The arrangements of upcoming visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to North Balochistan during the current month were also discussed.
