Alhamra Arts Council Celebrates International Tea Day

Lahore (HRNW) The Lahore Arts Council greatly celebrates International Tea Day here on Alhamra Arts Centre, the Mall. In connection with the Day Alhamra arranged a tea party with staff members.

The purpose of the gathering was to celebrate World Tea Day together. Everyone is aware of the fact that Pakistan is a friendly and hospitable nation. The most important component which is part of Pakistani cultural hospitality is offer tea to the visitors and guests to welcome them.

On the occasion, Executive Director Lahore Arts Council Saman Rai said that, tea is a part of our culture that will never be forgotten. Rai further said that it is element of our centuries-old tradition to present tea to the guests in all provinces of Pakistan and most interesting thing is that the taste of the tea varies likewise the language in every region.

“Tea is one of the oldest beverages in the world, and is the most consumed drinks in the world besides that Pakistani nation is undoubtedly tea lovers, and I think it’s a great excuse to hang out with friends, and family, she added. On a December’s cold evening, Alhamra has also arranged mesmerizing music in the form of violin and guitar with hot cup of tea, which was enjoyed by everyone.
