KARACHI: (HRNW) The road leading from Hassan Square to National Stadium in Karachi has been closed causing the worst traffic jam in the city.
During the Pakistan Super League practice at the National Stadium, the police blocked the road from Hassan Square to the National Stadium, causing traffic jams on various main and link roads. In the afternoon, queues of vehicles formed around the President, Shara Faisal, Hassan Square and Governor House.
Citizens returning home from work in the evening are in trouble, while police say the road has been closed due to security concerns.
Yesterday, the traffic police issued a traffic plan during the Pakistan Super League, under which public transport and heavy traffic will not be allowed on all roads leading to the stadium.
Pakistan Super League Season 6 matches will be played at the National Stadium Karachi from February 20 to March 7. During this time there will be massive traffic diversion in the city.
