There is a need to create awareness on Autism. Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar

Karachi (HRNW) Special Assistant to CM Sindh on Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar has said that to some extent there is awareness on Autism in urban areas but there is a dire need to create awareness among people on Autism in rural areas. This he said as a chief guest while inaugurating Sensory Integration Unit at Centre for Autism Rehabilitation and Training Centre Gulistan e Johar Karachi on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day. On this occasion Dr. Syed Muhammad Idress Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Nabila Soomoro, Dr. Erum and other were also present.

He added, ‘ It is a matter of great pleasure that C-ARTS has been providing rehabilitation and consultancy services free of cost to the children suffering from Autism and it is the only institute in public sector which is doing so ‘. Special Assistant to CM Sindh on DEPD Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar said that very soon such facility would be provided in Hyderabad and its scope would be extended to other parts of the province. He said that we should treat the children suffering from Autism with love and care.

Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar said that Sindh government was fully committed to make differently abled persons a useful members of the society and enable them to live with dignity. He asked the other stakeholders of the society to come forward and to coordinate with Sindh Government in creating awareness on rights of the differently abled persons and children.
