Residential areas cannot be converted into commercial, Supreme Court

KARACHI: (HRNW) The Supreme Court has reserved its verdict on marriage halls in Karachi. The court remarked that residential areas cannot be converted into commercials.

The court has sought a report on the legal status of the Nusla Tower in its written decision to hear the illegal constructions.

The court directed the commissioner Karachi to remove all illegal constructions and welfare plots around Kidney Hill. And ordered the demolition of wedding halls in the field.
