Education technology can provide career solutions: Dr Zakar

Okara (HRNW) The Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), being used in education sector amid coronavirus lockdowns, can also provide multiple career opportunities including ecommerce, content marketing and content monetization to students, said the University of Okara’s Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar, while talking to his faculty.
He told that the future job market will be totally driven by the ICTs and the students who adapt themselves according to the needs of the modern world and learn professional digital skills, will have more career choices.
Dr Zakar further said that the pandemic has proved to be a blessing in disguise in a sense that it had accelerated the transformation from traditional means of communication, education and business into the digital ones.
The VC revealed the UO had been providing quality online education to its 17,000 students effectively since the pandemic-driven closure of educational institutions.
“We, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), has invested a considerable amount of money in establishing a tech-enriched smart campus where both teachers and students can easily interact in digital environment and they have access to piles of online knowledge resources”, said Dr Zakar.
