Lahore (HRNW) The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted Monday rain in Lahore in the next 12 hours.

The prediction comes hours after the city was hit by a sandstorm. The PMD said that the rain will be followed by heavy winds.

At least 50 people were killed in rain-related incidents in Pakistan last year. Of them, eight had died in Punjab alone.

In Pakistan, monsoon season starts in July and continues till September.
