ISLAMABAD (HRNW): The Ministry of Finance has expressed satisfaction over the change of status of Pakistan by the FATF.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the implementation of the recommendations shows the seriousness of Pakistan’s FATF matters. Pakistan meets international standards for anti-money laundering and anti-terror financing. The Asia-Pacific Group appreciates Pakistan’s efforts.
The Ministry of Finance has said that Pakistan has implemented 21 recommendations in an unprecedented and extraordinary manner in a short span of time. Pakistan amended fourteen federal and three provincial laws to implement the recommendations. According to the report of the year 2012, Pakistan had implemented ten points.
