KARACHI: (HRNW) Police in Saudabad area tortured a restaurant owner for not closing a hotel. Police arrested eight people, including a hotel owner, at 2am and took them to the police station.
Hotel owner Azhar’s video statement has come to light in which he said that the police took us to the police station through mobile where SHO Zubair hit us with sticks and then released us at nine o’clock the next night.
SP Landhi Shah Nawaz Chachar has said that police are not allowed to use violence. SHO Saudabad has been suspended. An investigation has been launched into allegations of violence against police.
