People under the age of 40 are allowed to get the AstraZeneca vaccine

ٰIslamabad (HRNW) Pakistan has allowed people under the age of 40 to be vaccinated  AstraZeneca vaccine. It will help migrants to travel abroad including Saudi Arabia.

According to Reuters, Pakistan is heavily dependent on migrants in Saudi Arabia for remittances and the official vaccine being administered in Pakistan is not acceptable in Saudi Arabia.

So far in Pakistan, the Chinese vaccines  have been used during the vaccination campaign, while the AstraZeneca vaccine has only been given to people over 40 years of age.

However, now the ban has been lifted in view of the difficulties faced by those going abroad, including in Saudi Arabia, and people under the age of 40 will be able to apply AstraZeneca.
