Mobile helpline established to search missing children

KARACHI: (HRNW) The first mobile helpline has been set up in collaboration with Karachi Police and a welfare agency to search for missing children and help their families.
A mobile van service equipped with modern facilities has been launched in Karachi to search for missing children. The service was launched by the Roshni Helpline in collaboration with the police. The mobile van will provide assistance to the parents of missing and abducted children at their homes.
Mohammad Ali, head of the Roshni Helpline, said the first four to five hours are crucial for the search for missing children, after which one or the other incident often occurs with the children.
Muhammad Ali said that the police officer present in the van would immediately contact the concerned police station and register a case regarding the missing or abducted children.
Muhammad Ali said the help van service would be extended to all districts of Karachi. Police and Roshni Helpline have also jointly set up a Child Practice Cell in which Lady Police has also been deployed.
