10 million Afghan children in desperate need, UNICEF

New York (HRNW) UNICEF Afghanistan warns that ten million children in Afghanistan are in desperate need of humanitarian support.

According to UNICEF, Afghani children are already surviving on charitable aid and about a million are anticipated to undergo life-threatening undernourishment this year. UN’s World Food Program strives for $200m in food aid.

Whereas, earlier Taliban have issued a new warning against extending the evacuation deadline.

The G7 countries have asked the Taliban to assure that the Afghans’ safe passage will be provided after August 31.

On the contrary, small business owners in Afghanistan are worried over what comes next.
