LAHORE: (HRNW). Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Justice Javed Iqbal has communicated particular directives to all Regional Bureaus of NAB regarding escalating graft busting activities against corrupt elements and to ensure early recovery from such elements. Keeping in view the directives, the regional Bureau of Lahore, today, organises a Cheque Distribution Ceremony for affectees of Green City, Sargodha scam in which cheques amounting to Rs 93,000,00 were distributed among 109 affectees. The ceremony was attended by senior officers of NAB Lahore and affectees of Green City, Sargodha.
The basic purpose behind organising cheque distribution ceremonies by NAB, at one end, is to compensate the affectees of scams relating to cheating public at large matters and also to issue a strong message to all corrupt elements and plunderers that NAB won’t go a step behind from its commitment and mandate. As per the direction of Justice Javed Iqbal, NAB would continue to haunt the looter mafia active in the Housing Sector.
During the ceremony, it was told that under the tenure of current leadership, the regional Bureau has, so far, facilitated 23 thousand (approx) affectees. Moreover, during this tenure of four years, NAB Lahore has distributed around Rs7 Billion. It was also told that NAB has adopted a zero tolerance policy against illegal and bogus housing societies, whereas, NAB has been striving to conclude all mega corruption scams. While concluding the Ceremony, the affectees of Green City, Sargodha thanked Chairman and Director General NAB for their tiring efforts in line with recovering their looted money.
