“Funkar Humaray with Anwar Rafi”

Lahore (HRNW)- The Lahore Arts Council is an unparalleled institution that has kept people’s hearts and minds engaged in positive activities in the most difficult times, like COVID-19 when even the human nerves are left behind. In this regard, Alhamra arranged different paintings competitions that inspire the young generation.
In these difficult times of Corona pandemic, Alhamra has expanded its online activities and launched a new music series, “Funkar Humaray”. Today is the third session of the program in which well-known Pakistani singer Anwar Rafi participated, and his brilliant performances made the program matchless.
On the occasion, Executive Director Ijaz Ahmed Minhas said that this effort of Alhamra is for all those people who want to be associated with art and artist, but due to COVOD-19, they are reluctant to get involved in these activities. He further said that through this program, we remember our great artists and see and hear their beautiful art, Alhamra will continue its tradition and launch more such programs. Today’s episode we dedicated to the World Tourism Day”, he added.
Director Art and Culture Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi said that this program is becoming more and more popular among the people, and I hope that today’s session will also take people to the beautiful memories of golden era.
Anwar Rafi said that this new initiative of Alhamra has not only given an opportunity to artists to refresh ourselves but also these online sessions will help our young generation to acquire knowledge of music from the teachers. Anwar sang his famous songs in the program including “Janu San Zara” “Apna Bana Ke Dil La Ke” “Meri Wafa Mera Wada” and others. The musical program was broadcast live on the Facebook page which watched and appreciated by audience.
