Munich’s Coman approaching return after heart operation

Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman is closing in on a comeback around two weeks after having a minor heart operation as he made a partial return to team training on Monday.

French attacker Coman, 25, had surgery on a minor heart rhythm problem shortly after Bayern won their Champions League opener 3-0 at Barcelona.

Despite his return to the training pitch, he will not yet be considered for the squad for Wednesday’s home meeting with Dynamo Kiev.

Bayern full back Benjamin Pavard meanwhile has been suspended for two Bundesliga games after his red card in the 3-1 win over Greuther Fuerth on Friday.

He will miss coming matches against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday and Bayer Leverkusen on October 17.
