Attempt to smuggle drugs from Islamabad airport failed

ISLAMABAD: (HRNW) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs worth crores of rupees abroad from New Islamabad International Airport and arrested an accused.

During the briefing of Gulf Airlines flight number GF 771 from New Islamabad International Airport to Bahrain, ANF personnel searched the luggage of a passenger named Ali Mutkhan from Khyber Agency.

ANF ​​officials expertly recovered 4,200 grams of heroin hidden in the layers of the bag. The passenger was arrested and shifted to ANF police station where a case has been registered against him and investigation has been started.
Officials said that the exported drugs are worth crores of rupees in the global market. Investigation has been started against the accused and further revelations are expected.
