Shehbaz Sharif vows to strongly oppose increase in petrol prices in Parliament

LAHORE: (HRNW) Amid reports of a hike in petroleum prices, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif vowed that he would strongly oppose any such move in Parliament.

In a statement, Shehbaz alleged that Prime Minister Imran Khan was piling on taxes and shooting inflation through the roof while trampling upon the basic constitutional rights of the people. PML-N would protect the economic and constitutional rights of the people, he assured the masses.

It is absolutely incomprehensible and nonsensical that this government is claiming to control inflation by raising the prices even more every day. This further increase of Rs 7-9 in the prices of petroleum products would hammer the last nail in the coffin of the masses already murdered by PTI’s economic terrorism,” lambasted Shehbaz.

The former Punjab chief minister shared that the price hike on October 12 it was already an “injustice”. He said he had been warning repeatedly that this PTI government must be dethroned to stop the economic destruction of the country, or it would be too late.
