Karachi: Inauguration of Solar Power System in Civil Hospital

KARACHI: Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh has inaugurated a solar power system at the Civil Hospital. The opening ceremony was also attended by Medical Superintendent (MS) Noor Mohammad and representatives of the World Bank.

On this occasion, Noor Mohammad said that solar plants have been installed on 16 buildings of the Civil Hospital. The project has cost 900,000. He said that the project would provide 1.05 MW of electricity. With this system, 70% of the hospital will be powered by solar energy.
Provincial Energy Minister Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh said 37 government hospitals in the province were being included in the project. 7 hospitals of the city are included in this project while solar energy project is also underway in 200,000 houses.
