Karachi. (HRNW) Special Assistant to CM Sindh on Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Sindh Sadiq Ali Memon has said that DEPD is fully coordinating with all stakeholders to facilitate the persons with disabilities because these persons need special attention of us. This he said while visiting Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi here on Thursday. On this occasion Executive Director Dr. Nabila Soomro briefed SACM on DEPD Sadiq Ali Memon regarding services being provided to the persons with disabilities. She said that almost 200 patients visited the institute for treatment on daily basis.
SACM Sadiq Ali Memon visited various sections of the institute and appreciated the performance of the institute. He said that such institutions, equipped with latest technology and medical experts, were really good news for differently abled persons to get different types of therapies.
Special Assistant to CM Sindh on Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Sindh Sadiq Ali Memon added, ‘ Sindh Government with its limited resources is providing education, health care, vocational training and rehabilitation facilities in its institutions to the persons with disabilities’. He also lauded the role of philanthropists in making these persons with disabilities a useful member of the society and expressed his hope that the institute would gradually increase its services.
