Karachi (HRNW) Sui Southern Gas Company has started unannounced load shedding of gas in different areas of Karachi.
Gas is not being supplied for 9 hours daily from 8 am to 5 pm due to which the citizens were forced to buy breakfast and lunch from the hotel.
New Karachi, North Karachi, Sir Syed Town XI C2, Buffer Zone, Nagan Chowrangi, FB Area and Surjani Town are the areas where gas is not being supplied every day from 8 am to 5 pm.
Women in the affected areas say that men who go to work and children who go to school or college have to leave home without breakfast.
Apart from domestic consumers, the business of hoteliers and food center owners has also been badly affected by the gas load shedding.
Sui Southern Gas Company says that increasing demand in Balochistan in winter creates gas pressure issue.
