JI’s stages 11 protests in Karachi against LG law

Karachi (HRNW) The Jamaat-e-Islami on Wednesday staged sit-ins at eleven places in Karachi against the Sindh government’s new local government bill.

In absence of a traffic plan from the authorities commuters experienced delays at M.A Jinnah Road. However, Traffic Police DSP (operations) Saeed Arain claimed traffic flow was not disrupted in other parts of the city.

The main sit-in is being staged at the MA Jinnah Road in front of the KMC building.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman is scheduled to address the gathering, it said.

Rehman will also address the sit-in at the Star Gate located on Sharae Faisal. Other demonstration are to be addressed by local JI leaders.

The TV reported that JI is staging sit-ins at 11 places in the city.
