General elections will be held in 2023: Shafqat Mahmood

Lahore (HRNW) Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood has said that general elections will be held in 2023. The government is not threatened by any protests from political opponents.

The new president of PTI Punjab, Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood called on Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar. Both leaders have advised the opposition to wait for the elections instead of taking to the streets.

Shafqat Mehmood said that as President I would work hard to strengthen the party and for the workers.

Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar congratulated Shafqat Mehmood on becoming the President of PTI Punjab and said that the government would fulfill its constitutional term.

In the meeting, Governor Punjab and Shafqat Mahmood also expressed concern over the growing atrocities on minorities in India.

Punjab Governor Muhammad Sarwar said that the real face of India has been exposed on the shameful treatment of minorities. Pakistan’s role is ideal for Afghan peace and economic stability.
