Further Bundesliga coronavirus cases at Stuttgart and Hertha Berlin

VfB Stuttgart have recorded two more positive tests for the coronavirus in Silas Katompa Mvumpa and Naouirou Ahamada while Hertha Berlin’s new signing Fredrik Andre Bjorkan is also positive, the Bundesliga clubs said Friday.

Stuttgart said winger Mvumpa and midfielder Ahamada were in quarantine at home while the rest of the squad and coaching staff tested negative.

Defender Konstantinos Mavropanos and attacker Mateo Klimowicz have had previously tested positive and are isolating in their native Greece and Argentina.

Hertha have also recorded a third positive test after captain Dedryck Boyata and right back Deyovaisio Zeefuik through Norwegian Bjorkan, who has signed on a free transfer from Bodo/Glimt.

Players from Eintracht Frankfurt, Borussia Moenchengladbach, Wolfsburg and Augsburg have all revealed positive tests for players who will almost certainly miss the league restart from January 7.
