Murree tragedy: Investigation completed, case declared as negligence of administration

Lahore (HRNW) The five-member inquiry committee on the Murree tragedy left for Lahore after completing its investigation.

The inquiry committee will submit a report to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar tomorrow, in which it has termed it as administrative negligence.

The inquiry committee has recorded the statements of more than 30 officers of administrative departments for its report.

According to the investigation report, the snow removal machinery was parked in Murree and the staff was missing. The Meteorological Department’s warning was also ignored.

According to the report, tourists have termed the night of January 7 and 8 in Murree as a very scary experience.
