KARACHI: (HRNW) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi has termed the agreement reached between Sindh government and Jamaat-e-Islami regarding amendments in the Local Government Bill as a betrayal.
PTI Karachi President Bilal Ghaffar said that Jamaat-e-Islami was deceived by the fake agreement.
Bilal Ghaffar said that the mayor’s nominal authority over some institutions was an insult to the mayor himself. The PTI has spoken of economic power for the mayor. We have rejected the Local Government Bill, so there is no room for amendment.
