‘NSC declared opp traitors or part of foreign plot?’, Bilawal asks Pakistan Army

Islamabad (HRNW) Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has demanded Pakistan Army to clarify if the National Security Council (NSC) declared the opposition members as traitors and part of foreign plot.

After dissolution of the national assembly (NA) after dismissal of the no-confidence motion on Sunday, Prime Minister Imran Khan claimed that the national security council (NSC) endorsed that foreign interference for regime change was being done through no-trust vote.

Addressing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, he said that foreign interference had been made into the internal politics of Pakistan as a plan for a no-confidence motion was orchestrated outside.

In the same context, Bilawal tagged Pakistan Army’s spokesperson in his tweet and asked, “ExPM IK is using ‘foreign conspiracy’ to justify his coup. Will @OfficialDGISPR clarify, did NSC meeting declare the 197 members of NA traitors and part of a foreign plot?”

He asked if the foreign office or defence ministry could produce any official correspondence after the letter was received by Pakistan.

Bilawal further said, “Sur[e]ly a plot of this scale would have been uncovered by our own intelligence agencies and other institutions not just an ambassadors cable? Imran’s ego is not more important than Pakistan.”
