KARACHI (HRNW) Sindh Chief Secretary Dr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput has presided over an important meeting to review arrangements for the second phase of local bodies (LB) elections in Karachi and Hyderabad divisions and the by-election in the National Assembly constituency NA-245.
Provincial Election Commissioner Aijaz Anwar Chohan, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Iqbal Memon, Secretary School Education Ghulam Akbar Laghari, Secretary College Education Khalid Haider Shah and all the Deputy Commissioners of Karachi and Hyderabad Division attended the meeting.
Chief Secretary Rajput told the meeting that the provincial administration would provide full support to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for the conduct of elections, adding that CCTV cameras would be installed at the most sensitive polling stations.
He directed the commissioners to ensure provision of missing facilities at the polling stations. For the convenience of voters, necessary facilities, such as drinking water and ramps for the disabled people, would also be provided at the polling stations.
